The Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) Honors Program is a multidisciplinary, hands-on program for University of Maryland (UMD) undergraduates from three participating schools: business, engineering and computer science. QUEST needed an annual report created for the 2015-2016 year, highlighting past successes and future endeavors. This piece was also to be used as a Save the Date for QUEST's 25th Anniversary Celebration.
For this piece, I used a grayscale version of the Maryland flag as a cohesive design element. Since QUEST includes students from three different colleges at UMD, I opted to use the flag as the main element instead of placing a stronger emphasis on the Smith School's color palette, which includes darker shades of red and yellow than the university. The grayscale elements also allow the images and infographics to pop off the pages, further illustrating QUEST's accomplishments of the past year.
